The Leland Center is in partnership with two historically Baptist institutions:
Averett University in Danville, Virginia and the South Wales Baptist College, in Cardiff, Wales, Great Britain.
Averett University, Danville, Virginia
Through our Diploma Program, students who complete the Diploma in Theology may transfer the totality of their earned credit towards Averett’s Associate of Arts degree or the Bachelor of Arts in Religion degree. They may complete their studies in the A.A. or B.A. programs by registering in Averett’s IDEAL Program. This program allows students to remain in the Washington metropolitan community, while completing their degree requirements. Through an agreement with the Baptist College in Cardiff, Leland Divinity students may travel abroad and study in one of Britain’s historic Baptist Colleges and finest University theology faculties. By matriculating through the Baptist College, Leland students may pursue studies toward the completion of their Master of Divinity or Master of Theological Studies degrees. In 2003 the John Leland Center for Theological Studies entered into formal partnership with the Baptist General Association of Virginia to promote theological education for emerging leaders in multiple locations throughout Virginia.
