The John Leland Center for Theological Studies considers it a great honor for our library to be named for Alma Hunt whose name is synonymous with missions. In nine decades, she has traveled in 93 countries to share her love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Though a native of Virginia, Miss Alma is a citizen of the world. Bishop Payne Library, Virginia Theological SeminaryThe John Leland Center has a mutually beneficial reciprocal agreement with Bishop Payne Library, Virginia Theological Seminary. This agreement provides for lending privilegesby Leland Center students and faculty with the use of an official student ID card.George Mason Library- Books are available to the public for use within the Library. - Only George Mason University students and Friends of the George Mason Library can borrow books. - Virginia residents can become a Friend of the Library as an individual with an annual $45 fee.University of Virginia and Virginia Tech Center Library- Virginia residents and UVA/UVTech graduates can use and borrow library books by using a Virginia drivers license.Library of Congress- The Library of Congress, located in the federal district of Washington, D.C., is an excellent resource for academic research.BookstoreTextbooks are obtained by Leland through the Columbia Baptist Bookstore and may be purchased by students at the Leland Center during the first two weeks of classes.(p)703-812-4757 (f)703-812-4764 1301 N.
