Leland's faculty, staff, students and friends are a
unique and diverse group.
Our faculty offers
international diversity: including our new president, Mark Olson, Ph.D. who
received his doctorate from the University of Virginia; a professor from Argentina (Daniel
Carro, Ph.D.), one from Estonia
(Tarmo Toom, Ph.D.), Ghana
(Daniel Dapaah, Ph.D.) and an
Academic Dean (Jeff Willets, Ph.D.) from North Carolina
who received his doctorate from the University of Wales.
Our faculty is uniquely qualified to prepare students for ministry in that
most Leland professors spend their weekends preaching in local churches.
Leland students are no less diverse and interesting.
Many of Leland Master's students already have a graduate degree. Most are
professionals, with vocations including ministers, lawyers, Capitol Hill
staff, students at all levels in the Department of Defense, GAO staff,
teachers, engineers, an architect, an actress and computer technicians.
Our Diploma program
is equally distinct. Diploma classes are currently taught in English in four
locations throughout Virginia and in Spanish
at the Arlington
campus.
